Program Transfers (DCS)

This page applies to Continuing Education diploma students looking to switch programs. For those wishing to switch or return to day studies (regular DCS division), applications must be done through SRAM.

Requesting a program transfer

Students must have all necessary prerequisites to be eligible for a program transfer.

If you are in the Requalifications to DCS (081.C2) program, you must have requalified by passing 4 courses before you can make a request.

Students planning to return to the regular DCS division (day studies) must apply through SRAM.

Program Transfers and Bill 96

If you are an existing student transferring to a new program after July 1, 2023, then Law 14 (bill 96) is applicable to you (with the exception of Springboard students).

Law 14 introduces three major changes for non-certificate holders:

  • Students must take a total of five French courses as part of their program
  • Students will have to pass the Épreuve uniforme de français (Language exit exam)
  • Two French Second Language courses currently found in program grids will be adjusted accordingly, and a complementary course will become another French course designed to prepare students for the exam

Please note that current French courses, 602-10_-MQ and 602-HS_-VA, would not count towards the three new required French courses.

Only students who passed the 602-103-MQ French course with a grade of 75% or more may receive credit for the one of the three new French courses. No other 602 courses you may have passed can be used to replace these courses.

To take the courses designed to adequately prepare students for the Épreuve uniforme de français, students may need to plan for additional semesters to complete their studies after changing programs.
