The Student Advocacy Office at Vanier College is dedicated to ensuring students understand their rights and responsibilities.
If you’re facing unresolved issues with faculty or staff, reach out to us for assistance in settling the matter.
Our advocates are here to support you throughout the process and help you find solutions to your concerns.
The student advocates can:
- Listen to your questions, concerns or complaints
- Advise you on available options
- Guide you in resolving problems informally
- Help you understand your rights and responsibilities
- Provide information on college regulations and procedures
- Explain the use of mechanisms like the Academic Complaints Committee or Grades Review
- Offer advice on the appropriate actions for personal or academic difficulties
The Student Advocates cannot enforce cooperation or implementation of recommendations. They rely on the cooperation and respect of the Vanier Community to ensure fair and equitable treatment for students.
