Offered in individual and corporate training formats, this level-1 course certifies participants as mechatronic systems assistants.

A Siemens-certified mechatronic systems assistant functions as a well-grounded machine operator within a complex system, responsible for efficient operation with minimal downtimes. To prepare participants for this role, 240 hours of class time is dedicated to 4 modules:

  • Electrical components
  • Mechanical Components and Electrical Drives
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control Circuits
  • Digital Fundamentals and PLCs.

To register for this course, participants must possess secondary 4 math or a basic understanding of algebra.

What you'll learn:

  • Malfunction identification, localization and correction (if possible) and/or documentation for component replacement
  • How to recognize potential or impending malfunctions and contact expert assistance to keep the production line functioning
  • Performance of routine, preventive maintenance
