Exploring Cybersecurity: CyberCon 2024 at Vanier College
Vanier College is pleased to announce that the Continuing Education Department held its first CyberCon 2024.
The very successful event offered a unique experience bringing together students, professors, and professionals in the field of cybersecurity.
The keynote speaker was Terry Cutler, CEO of Cyology Labs, and author of Insider Secrets to Internet Safety: Advice from a Professional Hacker, available on Amazon. Terry shared invaluable insights and expertise that inspired and informed his audience.
As well, other industry leaders hosted a series of enlightening mini-presentations:
- Luigi Tiano: Co-Founder & VP Sales and Marketing at Assurance IT
- René-Sylvain Bédard: CEO of Indominus Managed Security
- Thierry Lachapelle: Director of Strategy and Development at Aiki Informatique
- Yamlal Gotame: CEO of Data Next Step
Their expertise and passion for cybersecurity left participants with newfound knowledge and ideas.
CyberCon was organized to offer a foretaste and preview of issues that will be taught and covered in the new Cybersecurity ACS program Vanier Continuing Education will be launching in October 2024.
