Women's and Gender Studies Major

In this major, students analyze historical constructions of gender and sexuality and their influence on social relations. Through a combination of coursework and extra-curricular activities, students learn about the effects of gender norms and discrimination and the activist movements fighting for gender and sexual equality. Because gender is a core aspect of the human experience, this major is beneficial to students of virtually any program.
