The Passages Springboard profile equips students with the academic skillset and experience they need to succeed in their college studies.

The Passages profile is intended for students whose academic record indicates a need for additional support. Typically lasting one or two semesters, this profile equips students with effective learning strategies and strengthens their oral and written communication skills. Once enrolled, students can choose courses from a wide range of disciplines to help them decide which program would best suit their interests and abilities. They are required to take a full course load and maintain full-time status. Credits earned for general education courses during their time in Passages can be applied to all DCS programs.

Unsure if you qualify? Meet with an academic advisor.

Why choose this profile?

  • Explore different disciplines and courses to discover what you like
  • Earn credits toward your general education requirements
  • Build a support network of faculty and staff
  • Benefit from resources like the Tutoring and Academic Success Centre (TASC)

[Passages] was fantastic, because it helped me decide which program to go into and which career to choose. After getting my DCS in Social Science, I want to go into law.
