The Prerequisites Springboard profile allows students to take courses required for admission to a Science or career program.

The Prerequisites profile is intended for those who have not taken the Science and/or Mathematics high school courses required by their DCS program of choice. Over their first semester, students take the cégep equivalent courses they need in subjects like Chemistry and Physics, while beginning their general education coursework in parallel. Once these courses are completed, they are able to apply to their program of choice.

Students wishing to improve their grades in prerequisite courses do not qualify for this profile. To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate a strong academic aptitude and good results in previous secondary Math and Science courses. A full course load must be maintained.

Have you already completed a semester or more of college studies? Ask an advisor about the Transition profile.

Why choose this program?

  • Fulfill the admission requirements of your program of choice
  • Begin your general education coursework
  • Build a support network of faculty and staff
  • Benefit from resources like the Tutoring and Academic Success Centre (TASC)

I found this profile very useful because I passed all the Math and Science courses I needed to get into the program I wanted.
