Vanier's Languages and Cultures and Music program develops students' knowledge of two foreign languages while honing their musical and performance skills.

This double DCS combines the strengths of the Languages and Cultures and Music programs. Students immerse themselves in two foreign languages, choosing from Spanish, Italian, German, Russian or Mandarin. In parallel, students develop their instrument or voice skills through rigorous practice and frequent performances. With the addition of theoretical and general education courses, graduates leave well-prepared for studies in virtually any domain. Many go on to pursue university degrees in fields such as Communications, Linguistics, Literature, Political Science, Law and Tourism, or music-related fields in performance, composition, teaching and therapy. Graduates of this 3-year, 6-semester program meet the requirements for two pre-university diplomas: a DCS in Languages and Cultures and a DCS in Music.
