Vanier’s Business Administration program prepares students for a range of careers in marketing, accounting, sales and entrepreneurship.

In this program, students delve into the core principles of business while exploring specialized areas that align with their passions and aspirations. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in key domains such as management, computer applications, digital marketing and accounting. In their second semester, students choose between two specialized streams in Accounting or Marketing. Whether you aspire to launch your own venture or lead a team in a larger corporation, Vanier’s Business Administration program provides the flexibility to tailor your studies accordingly.

Accounting Stream

Graduates of this program stream pursue fulfilling careers in accounting and finance across various organizations, working in digital settings to support financial management and decision-making. They leave qualified for entry-level roles like Accounting technicians, Junior Bookkeepers, Billing and Collections clerks, Junior Financial Analysts and more. The Accounting stream at Vanier offers its students unique opportunities, such as the chance to participate in a student-run tax clinic, the Vanier College Accounting Case Competition, and an internship in the final semester.

Marketing stream

Graduates of this program stream enter the job market as Business Analysts, Marketing Coordinators, and Sales Representatives, leveraging their skills to drive decision-making, brand awareness, and revenue growth across industries. At Vanier, they learn key data analysis skills and develop the capacity to align organizational resources with marketing opportunities. Students get the chance to apply this knowledge at the annual Vanier College Scotiabank Marketing Case Competition, where they compete with college students across Canada. They are also eligible to participate in the Work-Study program, in which they complete two paid summer internships.

For those wishing to pursue university, Vanier’s DCS-BBA Marketing program, offered in partnership with UQAM’s School of Management, is an excellent option.
